    Running on empty...

Yesterday, Clarence told us that the distributor only had 300 books left.

No panic attacks, please. As much as I'm enjoying the idea of PLUs frantically bombarding Borders and Kino with demands for more of our Yellow Pages, you'll also have to remember that the distributor passes the books to the bookstores - and the bookstores still have a nice fat bundle of the tomes in their stock-rooms.

In any case, we are quite seriously thinking of a second edition right now. With fewer grammatical errors (yet all of the colloquialisms!) and a few more footnotes for the puzzled non-Singlish speakers.

the books are also now available at MPH at Raffles City, Select Bookstore and Popular. Call ahead before you go there so it is not a wasted trip.

actually, pls don't care too much abt the grammar. in fact, i think, it is a nice local feeling. hehe. feel so much at home with some influx of singlish in the book :)

Don't worry Lester; the Singapore English will stay. (I like the term Singapore English better than Singlish - it includes people like me who jia kentang, mat-English, Hokkien-beng-English and Mandarin-English - there is no longer one single Singlish in Singapore.)

What we're correcting are missing words, spelling mistakes, etc. Otherwise, I'm trying to fly the flag. :)
